The purpose of the Israel “Sonnie” Shulman memorial award is to honor one or more individuals who posses the following attributes:
A. outstanding leader of the dental community
B. professional and ethical conduct of the highest order
C. volunteer activities in the community
The nominee does not have to be a dentist or a member of the Society, but should be affiliated in the field of dentistry. Educators and researchers may be eligible nominees.
